What is Silver Sneakers Medicare?
The Silver Sneakers Medicare program encourages seniors 65+ to participate in physical activities helping them to maintain greater control of their personal health.
SilverSneakers is the sponsor for activities and social events – designed to keep seniors healthy while also encouraging social interaction.
The program is generally available across the US. A SilverSneakers membership provides access to any participating gym location. Membership includes all amenities that is covered with the basic level member access program.
Each Silver Sneaker location will have an advisor that can introduce newcomers to the program and help them get started.
If you are an insured member covered under an AARP® Medicare Supplement plan – you will have access to Healthways SilverSneakers® Fitness program at no additional cost to you.
