The office who are responsible for Medicare coverage, appeals has cut the waiting period for seniors in half when they are requesting a judge.
The Medicare appeal progress follows the announcement last Jan., which federal officials were going to work through a crushing blacklog by moving to the front of the line. And by suspending the hearings on cases from doctors and hospitals for the last 2 years.
Beneficiary appeals, which were filed before the new policy was established could be languishing in the backlog piles, until officials can locate them.
The appeals department is striving for a 90-day mark and they expect the beneficiary appeals backlog to shrink in 2015.
