Since its creation in 2006, each year many changes are made to Medicare’s Part D prescription drug coverage.
This may cause a lot of confusion for seniors who could benefit from these plans or are hit financially by the changes. For these seniors to have Part D coverage for 2015, they must be sign up by the end of open enrollment on December 7th.
One major issue for 2015, is that there are fewer options for Part D than in past years. Some plans enrollees had in 2014 may not exist in 2015. This means the plans have changed and the enrollees with plans for 2014 that still exist could find out that those plans may no longer work the same. This means they could covering fewer medications and have more costs.
