Shopping during Medicare’s open enrollment
If you have Medicare and are thinking about making changes to your policy, the clock is winding down. Medicare’s open enrollment for Medicare will end on December 7th and any changes will go into effect in January 2015.
Medicare’s open enrollment is the best time to make sure drug and health plans meet your needs, especially if you have had changes to your health status.
If you are currently satisfied with your drug and health care coverage, you can still benefit from reviewing all your options. Shop around could improve coverage or save you money.
To find out more, log onto medicare.gov and then select plan finder. From there you will type in the list of medications you take and see if the plan you carry will continue to cover these medications in 2015.
