Open Enrollment for Medicare Part D will end on Dec. 7th.

We are coming up on the end of the open enrollment period for Medicare Part D and it has been a busy period.

Medicare has 31 stand-alone prescription drug plans to choose from. Seniors are advised to check their current plan against what will be available in 2015 because there will be changes to some premium costs, coverage, and deductibles.

It is not hard to check your current plans. You can go to You will put your information in when asked and the website will provide you with a list of plans from the cheapest to the most expensive. If you do not have access to the Internet you may call 1-800-392-8771 and Medicare officials can help you.  Medicare’s open enrollment will continue until Dec. 7th.
