Millions will be facing huge Medicare premium Increase

About 15 million people are likely to face a significant Medicare premiums. This means three in ten people will be hit with a 25% increase for Medicare Part B and that 70% of people with Medicare will be exempt from paying.

Under laws, Medicare premiums cannot be issued for most older adults and those with disabilities if his or her Social Security benefits do not increase.

However, those people who are enrolling in Medicare for the first time, or have income-adjustments Medicare premiums, or have Medicaid or Medicare, can face premium increases.

And, because the law requires Medicare Part B premiums to cover 25% of program costs, the 30% of those with Medicare premiums can increase to at least $159.30 each month.

Couples who earn $428,000 will pay a monthly premium of $509.80
