Medigap Plan N is the newest Medigap plan available to enrollees who wish to fill the gaps of Original Medicare Part A and Part B coverage. Plan N is one of ten standardized plans offering coverage in addition to standard benefits, which are provided by other Medigap plans.
Basic benefits of Plan N are:
- Medicare Part B coinsurance or copayments (except for a copayment of up to $20 for some office visits and up to a $50 copayment for emergency room visits that do not result in inpatient care)
- First three pints of blood used in a medical procedure
- Medicare Part A hospital coinsurance and other costs up to an additional 365 days after Original Medicare benefits are exhausted
- Medicare Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayment
Medigap Plan N will also offer additional benefits:
- Foreign travel emergency care (up to plan limits)
- Medicare Part A deductible
- Skilled Nursing Facility care co-insurance
