Medicare Parts C & D will cover additional services. More than 14.5 million Americans or about 28% of Medicare enrollees are enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan.
This plans allows seniors to receive both Medicare Parts A & B benefits through private insurer, which have contracts with Medicare programs. These plans will cover prescription-drug coverage, outpatient care, and hospitalization in one plan.
Many of these plans will kick in extra services, which original Medicare does not cover such as vision and dental care. Part D plans will cover the cost for medications, which Original Medicare alone does not cover.
