Medicare Cost Plans vs. Medicare Advantage: Is there a difference?

If you receive a Medicare Cost plan, traditional Medicare plans will cover medical cost that incurred out-of-network.
Depending on what state you are in, Medicare cost plan could offer the “best of both world” for older adults who want flexibility of keeping their traditional Medicare benefits while having access to out-of-network health care insurers. A key difference between Medicare Cost plans and Medicare Advantage plan is that beneficiaries will note be restricted to a plan’s network of health care providers. They may go outside of their networks to receive Medicare services. Medicare is a federal health insurance program for those who are 65 and older or have certain disabilities. Part A is hospital coverage and Part B will cover doctor services. Medicare Advantage plans also known as Medicare Part C is offered through private companies, and Part D is prescription drug coverage.
