If you have lost Medicaid or loose the Children’s Health Insurance Program known as “CHIP” you may then qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
As an example if you lose your eligibility if you have a change in household income making you ineligible for Medicaid. You can also become ineligible for a pregnancy related as well as medically needy Medicaid.
Your child may age off of the CHIP program.
