The HHS 2017 Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters released 2-29-16 sets standards for the issuers and Health Insurance Marketplaces for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2017.
It normally consists of payment parameters which will be applied to the 2017 benefit year, and institutes new standards to improve the consumers’ Marketplace experience as well as promotes stability and continuity in the Marketplaces. This is to ensure coverage will be affordable and accessible to consumers.
