The United States Medicare program’s payment rate for hospital outpatient services will increase in 2015 to 2.3%, while the rates for ambulatory surgical services will increase to 1.4%.
Medicare insurance program for the disabled and elderly will start to pay health care providers a monthly fee to coordinate care for patients with several chronic conditions starting in 2015.
The separate monthly payments of $40.39, which is aimed at improving care, will include outside of regular visits, for those who suffer from two or more chronic illnesses, said a state from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, which is a federal agency that oversees the Medicare program.
