such plans, has a zero deductible or first-dollar coverage,
and it provides convenient access to prescription drugs
through the availability of over 90 percent of the nation's
retail pharmacies as well as through mail-order services -
whichever best suits the needs of recipients.

The
MedicareRx Plans are open to everyone who's eligible
for Medicare in the plan service area of the 50 states,
D.C., and five U.S. territories. Specifically, a person
eligible for this plan:
Is entitled to Medicare
benefits under Part A or enrolled in Medicare Part B; and
Resides in the service area of the Medicare Prescription
Drug Plan, which includes the United States and United
States territories.
MedicareRx Plans are available to all eligible
Medicare beneficiaries, including members and non-members
of .

If you are already enrolled
in a Medicare prescription drug plan but you're not
100% satisfied with its customer service, drugs covered or the
price, you can apply for the MedicareRx Plans
between November 15th and December 31st of each year.
Or, if you currently have
prescription drug coverage through another type of insurance
plan, you'll want to compare it to Medicare Part D plan
coverage to make sure your needs are met.
